Tracey Locher

Bio:

Tracey has been scrapping for about 10 years, but says she has only been “seriously scrapping” for a couple of years. “I started scrapping because I wanted to make sure our family history was documented. When my Grandfather passed in 2006, the family came across boxes of pictures… some pictures were approximately 100 years old. The tragic thing was that we all knew these pictures were part of our family history, but nobody knew who the people were, where they were, what they were doing, or the dates of the pictures. I want to make sure that when my great, great, great granddaughter comes across my albums, she will get to know me and my family, what made us tick and who we were.

Tracey also loves the opportunity to be creative and ‘play.’ “I REALLY enjoy entering scrap contests and creating for specific calls... the assignments/calls push me to try new things and be creative in ways I didn’t know I had in me! I LOVE playing with new products (is there anything better than pulling out new supplies and getting the “Ah ha” idea and scrambling to work?), seeing the excitement on my kids’ faces when I finish a new layout about them and making a big mess on my desk!!!”

Tracey lives in Escondido , California with her husband and three children. One would think being a SAHM for two teens and a toddler was enough craziness, but Tracey also fills her time volunteering at the high school on committees such as Grad Night, Athletic Boosters, Dance Team, Football Team, Basketball Team, and is the volunteer host family coordinator for the Australian Exchange Program. Add to that the never ending diet, fundraising, carpooling, getting in shape to run another marathon, and writing a book about her family’s experience with colon cancer and she is one busy lady.
