Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you and yours from Rusty Pickle. 

Here are some beautiful Christmas cards made by Chef Alycia Sanders.  Alycia used the White Christmas line along with Rusty Pickle fibers, bling, buttons, stamps, and rubons to create a variety of cards- each one unique and beautiful. 

       

White Christmas Card

Jill Cornelius shares this wonderful Christmas card with us.  Here she tells us about how she created it:

This card is made using the New White Christmas Line from Rusty Pickle.  To make the base I used a circle cutter to cut the cirle but I did not complete the circle, I left a small amount of paper so that I could fold the paper over to form the top circle.  I adhered the White Christmas paper to the top of my base paper and attached different elements from the White Christmas Line.  I completed the card with ink, jewels and ribbon.

Awesome Advent Box

After seeing these advent boxes on the web Beckie decided to make her own one for her daughter using the Snowflakes and mittens collection.

 

   

Sketch Challenge Inspiration

December Sketch Challenge

This sketch was created by Chef Beckie Dreyer.  With this fabulous sketch, we want to see you use your favorite Rusty Pickle Christmas papers.  We also want you to add some sparkle by using bling and/or glitter!

 

In order to enter the contest:

Create a layout based on your interpretation of the sketch that uses 80% Rusty Pickle products.

Put a link to your layout in a comment on this announcement AND email a picture of your layout to rustypickleblog@gmail.com on or before midnight PST December 30, 2008. Please note that you will receive a confirmation email when your entry is received. 

Use any Rusty Pickle CHRISTMAS paper you like and GLITTER and/or BLING. The theme of your layout is up to you.

One entry per person.

All layouts will be shared at the end of our challenge in our Public Gallery.

The Rusty Pickle Design Team will vote to choose the winner.  The winner will receive a wonderful prize pack of Rusty Pickle papers and embellishments.

More Christmas Inspiration

This card is from Chef Tricia Johnson.  For the base of her card, Tricia used the page from a Rusty Pickle album.  She tied ribbons through the holes and addes some glitter to give her card some flair.

Kicking off the Christmas Season

We will be celebrating all this month by showcasing some wonderful Christmas inspired creations.  Our first project is a card by Beckie Dreyer.  Beckie used the Snowflakes and Mittens line to make this gorgeous card.  She hand cut the poinsettias and stacked them to give the card more dimension.  She also used the Rusty PIckle rub ons for the card's Merry Christmas message.
